As a chiropractor I have taken care of many moms-to-be with certain pregnancy related issues such as pregnancy related carpal tunnel syndrome sciatica, and breech turning if needed, and postpartum issues such as headaches from epidural administration and low back pain.
What is a postpartum doula?
In simple words, a mother to the mother. Had I known such a thing existed, I would have had a postpartum doula for both of my children. One who will come into the home and help organize, educate, acclimate the new family to having a baby, support, and encourage. I have found this tool to be a genuine asset for those new parents that are away from family during their postpartum time or parents that have other children that just need a bit of extra help with things.
Postpartum Doula Services : $40.00 hr.
(4 hr. minimum.)
Early lactation care is also available. At birth it is crucial to have support during early breastfeeding. As an Early Lactation Care Specialist, I am trained in assisting at that important time of development.
Lactation Counsiling : $40.00 hr.
Natural Childbirth Classes : 6 weeks long and will cover topics such as nutrition, exercise, comfort measures and positioning, preparing a birth plan, breastfeeding, stages of labor, new baby, and mythbusters. Interactive classes for mom and partner are fun and will be so helpful on the big day. $225.00
Breastfeeding Classes : 2 hr. anatomy - mom and baby, supply and demand, milk supply, pumping, Q&A $49.00
Teenage Courses : 9 hrs. Fears, stages
of labor, comfort measures, nutrition, exercise, postpartum, new baby. $149.00
Sibling Classes : 2 hr. Ages 3-10 baby care, bonding, undertanding their role as sibling. $49.00
New Daddy Classes: Physical and emotional support, baby care, bonding $49.00
